Current Obsessions – Holiday Edition

The most wonderful time of the year sure brings out the best of the best in so many goodies & products! Here’s my list of current obsessions & where you can find them!

Chestnut Praline Latte & Iced Eggnog Latte

I wait all year round for the Holiday drinks to roll out at Starbucks. Honestly, they are all worth the $5.50 for a grande…but these two are my favorite! They taste like Christmas in a cup! You can typically find these at your local Starbucks, but act fast because they do tend to run out.

Candy Cane Indulgent Snack Mix

I was wandering the isles of Target one day when I stumbled upon this snack mix & immediately put it into my basket. Like the name suggests it’s a mixture of peppermint favorites like; peppermint candy bites, peppermint covered almonds, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate nonpareils & plain almonds. It’s a really good combination of peppermint, chocolate, salt from the pretzels…it’s really just a great winter snack. Check your local Target! They also have a bunch more flavors!

Homemade Sugar Cookies

This season I found the best Sugar Cookie recipe. It’s a nice buttery cookie that isn’t too sweet, but sweet enough to make you go back for more. I like to make a nice buttercream frosting to go over top…and sprinkles. We can’t forget the sprinkles! I promise I’ll share it here soon! But for now here is the link to the best sprinkles in all of the land! I’m not exaggerating. Check them out here !

Bath & Body Works Frosted Cranberry Wallflower

I recently switched everything in my house from Scentsy plug in warmers, to Bath and Body Works Wallflowers. The Wallflowers definitely leave a fresh scent constantly going throughout our home. This year the Frosted Cranberry scent is by far my favorite. I am so obsessed with it I bought all the store had the last time I shopped. Bath & Body works calls it “A welcoming blend of iced cranberries, red apple and blond woods.

Burts Bee’s Beeswax Lip Balm

I’m actually obsessed with this all year round. It’s the only product that really works on my chapped or dry lips. I’m obsessed with the peppermint & vitamin E. I have one in my purse, one in my car, one in my desk at work & one on my nightstand. It’s the only lip balm that hydrates and continues hydrating my lips throughout the day.

Home Alone

I was so afraid of Home Alone when I was a kid. Marv & Harry scared me & honestly so did Old Man Marley (even though he turns in to a decent dude). This year I watched it with my daughter and really enjoyed it! It’s weird how much the movie changes when you’re an adult (because you’re older and understand more…especially the humor). It has definitely been added to our Christmas Movie line up.

Christmas Lights

I feel like I don’t need to elaborate here! I like looking at Christmas lights more now that I did when I was younger. I think it’s because I know the hard work it takes to get everything together. For me, it brings the magic of Christmas to life!

Cozy socks

I’ve never been a huge fan of bulky socks. This year we did a photoshoot for Avery & Ellis and we worse some super cozy socks…and now I basically live in them. I’ll think those here

Murad Essential- C Day Moisture

I received this as a sample from a friend who had gotten it from a subscription box she gets. I am literally so obsessed with it. First of all, it smells like grapefruit, which I am obsessed with, but also my skin is immediately refreshed the second I put it on. It works on all skin types; dry, normal, sensitive & oily. It also contains SPF 30. It’s a great moisturizer. You can get it here

Milkshake Purple Shampoo

This is my staple lately. I have done so many things to my hair and it often turns back to bring brassy really quickly. This is the only thing that keeps my hair from going turning orange. I do leave it sit in my hair for about 3 minutes and it produces a more vibrant color because of that. It also lasts forever! I’m still on my first bottle and I ordered it at the beginning of the year. You can check it out here

Monat Soothing Deep Conditioner

I love this deep conditioner! It calls to be left on for 6 minutes & I literally do just that. It really helps moisturize my hair after I leave the purple shampoo on for so long (that makes my hair really dry). It’s perfect for the winter months! If you are interested in trying Monat & need a hair expert Kaitlyn can help you out!

If you check out any of my favorite things from this month, let me know! I’d also love to know your favorite things for the Holiday season!

xoxo, Allyson
